The peak seen in the distance on the right is Mt.Akiba where the God of Fire is enshrined. The shrine is noted for its fire festival observed annually at midnight on December 16. As it is very windy around here, Kakegawa is a good place for flying kites. People going over the bridge are walking with a stoop so that the wind will not blow off their straw hats.
