The Heian Shrine, a replica of a part of the first Imperial Palace, was built in 1895, and dedicated to Emperor Kammu, founder of Kyoto. The court-yard of the Shrine is noted for its beauty with an abundance of drooping cherry-trees, irises, wisterias and azaleas.
About artist

Studied under Bakusen Tsuchida. He got prize from Kokugakai art group. He is active in Kokuten, Teiten and Shunyokai (all art exhibition groups) and famous as an Woodblock Print artist.
