Born in 1917, Ehime Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Arts University. Studied under Taikan Yokoyama, and many other painters famous for Japanese paintings. He visited many temples all around Japan, and helped restoring old paintings. Died in1991, Kyoto.
